I had to redo the heel flap twice because I didn’t get it right. I cast on 60 stitches and I guess I did the math a little wrong when I started it, so by the time I was finished the zigzag pattern was shifted by a bit. Note to people doing this pattern: make sure the instep is framed by an increase at each end.

  1. Hmmmm…. I’ve never done an increase before the instep stitches once I get down there. It looks AWESOME, though =)) Jaywalkers ROCK

  2. By increase I mean that there should be an increase that corresponds to the beginning of the zigzag pattern and one that corresponds to the end of the zig zag pattern on each side of the heel flap. Otherwise you’re doing lots of increases where you shouldn’t be and everything gets twisted and frightening. VERY FRIGHTENING, I’m talkin’ ’bout Snakes on a Plane frightening here.
