I love the look of seed stitch and I think it would totally jazz it up a bit. Still, I like the juxtaposition of the curves of the cables and the lines in the garter stitch. I think it will be a quick knit that has enough interest that it will not look like a quick knit. Green is a great color for it - maybe a deep forest green or maybee a wine or mulberry.
