Shipping to Canada
Wednesday, September 6th, 2006Tags: Canadiana, On The Cheap, The Internet
I’m keeping this as a list for myself and I figured some other Canadian folks could use this list, too. Here is a list of online knitting retailers that ship to Canada (as well as their Canadian shipping prices in US dollars).

- The Sweet Sheep [CAN] ($8.50 flat rate, free for orders over $80)
- The Loopy Ewe ($6.50 flat rate)
- KnitPicks ($6.99 for under $20, $8.29 for over, plus 10% taxes)
- Hello Yarn ($8 flat rate)
- kpixie ($10 flat rate)
- pureknits ($10 flat rate)
- Wool Needlework ($9.80 flat rate)
- Herrschners and Yarn Sale (between $3-$11 on orders under $100)

- Morehouse Farm (between $10-$15 for orders under $100)
- Kangaroo (~$1.50 per skein/ball)
- HelloKnitty (contact via email)
- Rowan Up Country (weirdly split into 2kg packages, but apparently cheaper from the UK)
Calculated upon purchase:
- Pick Up Sticks [CAN]
- Camilla Valley Farm Weavers’ Supply [CAN]
- WoolTrends [CAN]
- WEBS (plus $1 handling)
- The Naked Sheep
- ThreadBear Fiber Arts Studio
- Yarn Market
- The Yarn Exchange
- The Knitting Garden
- Little Knits
- Black Water Abbey Yarns
If you have any to add, leave them in the comments! What’s your favourite online knitting retailer?

Blackwater Abbey does ship to Canada, but I’m sorry I forget how much it costs. They used the US Postal service and I recieved the package through FedEx. It was a big package, 20 skeins.
Also, Jamieson and Smith will ship to Canada. Their prices are on a sliding scale based on weight and info is on their site. If you do place an order with them, I recommend you phone it in. They don’t answer e-mail very well. The person taking my order was very professional and the call lasted only 4 minutes. It cost me 28 cents on my phone plan. Also, there was $16 duty to pay.

The sweet sheep (http://thesweetsheep.com) is located in Canada so I assume they would ship to Canada. I’m a big fan of them (they ship to the US too).
