Welcome to Issue 1 of Yarnival! There were 500 billion people who sent me an entry, and I managed to whittle it down to approximately 50 billion. There’s some spinning and some dyeing, some works in progress and a surprising number of finished objects. You’ll find a few techniques in here you can use for all kinds of neat projects. And of course, there’s a little T&A mixed in for good measure.

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did, and I hope you discover at least one more blog that you can now obsess over for the rest of your days. Once you’re done, I’d love to hear your feedback! Send me an email or leave a comment at the end of this entry about which posts you liked best, what you’d like to see in the following issues, etc. etc. This is my first time, so please be gentle.

Yarnival is ready for publication! I’m about to put it up but I wanted to mention one thing first that needs doing:

Over the weekend I was without the internet, so I had plenty of time to work on the WordPress plugin for my Work In Progress Bars. If you have a WordPress blog and you want to get this before everyone else does, drop me a line and you can be one of my beta testers! All you need is a WordPress blog and an adventurous spirit. It’s past the alpha stage, which means I’m fairly sure it has no chance of breaking your blog. All that needs to be sorted out is the interaction design (whether it’s easy to use) and compatibility (whether it works for different versions of WordPress and servers). So drop me a line! Radical!
