I was biking this morning, tried to take a too-steep turn and wiped out right in front of my house. The worst part about wiping out is the bruises afterwards, but second place is having say, “don’t worry, I’m okay, it’s alright” to approximately 500 concerned gentlemen. That’s a bit of a stretch, there were only 2 this time, but it was still embarrassing.

I wrote my GRE this weekend (690 verbal, 790 quantitative!) and I’ve had a bazillion things to do so I haven’t been blogging much, but I did get some knitting done. I’m halfway into my sixth repeat on the DNA Scarf for my aunt. It’s looking pretty nifty, but I am SO ready for a different project. I want to start working on a stuffed dinosaur dragon for my other aunt, so if anyone knows of any good knit or crochet dinosaur patterns, post a link in the comments! I’ve got a couple links of my own, so I’ll put those up tomorrow along with your suggestions.

  1. I’ve made Bronty and Trice (from http://www.xtreme-knitting.com/FreePatterns.htm) I tend to use really bulky yarn, so they end up as large as the children they were made for. This triceratops (http://members.optusnet.com.au/we2/tric.html) is next on my list.

  2. I love what Kathryn posted for ya. I sure can’t do better than that for a knitted dinasor.

  3. Sorry, correction, I meant to say dragon, not dinosaur.

  5. Hope the bruises heal quickly. I was looking through your pictures, I would love to know which pattern you used for the earflap hat.

  6. Mrs Fife, I love your cute avatar!

Yes, I have seen it already, I’m considering using it or perhaps coming up with something on my own. I’d like to make it rather small, because it would have to go into a small-ish display case (if she likes it enough :) ).

Thanks, Monica. I have been asked about the hat before and I can’t seem to find the pattern that I based it on. Maybe one day I’ll write it out for other people to use.
