EZ Baby Sweater Blocking

My first shirt-shaped object is blocking!
Before blocking and before the last few ends were woven in:
It’s amazing what a little water and shampoo does. I bought some Johnson’s Baby Shampoo yesterday on Eunny’s advice; there was a detangling version and a lavender version, but I don’t like the smell of lavender and I figured the detangler would be too harsh and unnecessary, so I went with the standard. It worked really well and it smells nice, to boot! I wasn’t sure how to block it, but the way I pinned it out seems to be working fine.
You’ll see that I also have a new method of blocking, as opposed to using seat cushions. I bought puzzle mats yesterday! I had all these fantastic plans of making my own board, but it never happened of course. This cost only $8 and it teaches me the alphabet while I’m blocking!
Sadly, the puzzle mats are made in China. But look, that’s my name on those mats! (Eva is the German version of my name, and it’s what my mom calls me when she’s speaking German.)

The BSJ looks great! It looks very different in each picture? Is that just because of blocking?? Anyway, very cute!

I photographed them on different days, so the light is quite different. Blocking really affected the shape, though

I should mention: the colour in the bottom photo (the lighter one) is truer to reality.

Very nice! I have a similar sewing machine.. please don’t expect to sew anything heavy with it, but it should be able to handle cotton …
[I'm still working on putting my singer back together. *sigh* I miss it.]
