3-hour sweaterSo here’s why I love blogs: because the people who run them are awesome and creative. And awesome. Par example.

  • I blogged about the 3-hour sweater a little while ago*, and from seeing all sorts of versions all over the place, I think I really want to try it out. There’s a really cute one at The Fabled Needle. I love her interpretation; it shows that the pattern is a great base, all ready for hipness modification (it is 70 years old, after all).
  • Thermal is a bit more modern, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be played with. Not only did Winnie run out of yarn and brilliantly dye the sweater to cover up the colour change, she also took a really neat picture of the finished product.

Side note: My KnitPicks order came!!!! But I’m in Toronto for a reunion, so I have to wait until Tuesday to hug my new yarn and needles. Maybe I can call the beau and ask him to put them on the phone so I can listen to them purr.

* oh wait, no I didn’t. Ok, well I’ve blogged about it now. So if this post were from the future, I would not be a liar.
