Phildar has a new catalogue out, No 472. I’m not too inspired by this issue, to be honest, but there are two cute sweaters in there that I like. Not enough to buy it, but enough to maybe copy some of the details.

It looks like a twin set, but it’s actually a sweater! This is the knitting equivalent of meat cake.

Pattern: Dashing
Yarn: A red fingering weight shetland wool left over from my aunt’s DNA scarf, original ripped from a large men’s sweater
Needles: 2.25 mm DPNs
Modifications: Absolutely none.
Would I knit it again? I love these! Yes, yes I would. Such a quick knit, and comfy and elegant. They seal off the wrist so spiffily, too. I’m considering knitting another pair as mittens for winter; they’d be perfect.
