I’m back!
Tuesday, August 7th, 2007Categories: Story of my Life, Yarnival
I’m back from the Sault*! I’ve got a more lengthy post planned for tomorrow but I just wanted to leave a quick note to confirm my escape from any possible camping-related peril that fate had in store for me, and also to mention that I’m looking for editors for September’s Yarnival and beyond. Cara will be putting out the issue on August 15th, so I’m hoping to get someone sorted out by then so I’m not suddenly showered with submissions that I’d have to forward on.
Let me know if you’d like to edit an issue and I’ll set you up!
* We had a 12-hour drive back yesterday that left me completely exhausted and also completely tired of knitting the sweater I started. Now I’m not sure if I should rip back those 12 hours of progress, but more on that sordid tale later.

Hello,
I was linked to your site for volunteer for Yarnival. I would love to help out!!! Please let me know what I need do to help put this together.
Thank you!!!

I think I’d like to edit one too! And I think I’d set up an email just for that purpose. I can just see my inbox going crazy. October would be great for me in terms of workload, if we get a choice of months.
Comment by RycraftyIs there a place with links to all the previous Yarnivals for reference?

Looks like you have a big list of volunteers but if you still need people I’d like to edit an issue if you still need people. Whenever is fine by me.

My sister and I would love to edit an issue whenever you need us. I’m an English teacher and was a technical writer in my “former” life.

Hi! I would love to edit an issue. I was an executive secretary for many years at a national laboratory. One of my responsibilities was to put together complex scientific papers for presentation at seminars all over the world. This included pictures, equations, etc.; I not only had to assemble the papers, but I also had to make sure that everything was spelled correctly with perfect grammar. This was in the days before spell check even existed. After I stopped working there, I was a transcriber (word processing) for an insurance company. I was responsible for putting together not only correspondence, but complicated forms off a tape. I think I’m qualified for editing for you.
The only month I’ll be unavailable is October – I’ll be playing Native American flute in a benefit concert, and then we’ll be taking some vacation. Other than that, I’m home all the time and available at all hours.
Thank you for your consideration.
