Cute Dog Sweater!

I’ve blogged about cute dogs in sweaters before, so we know I’ve got a bit of a weakness for them. As you may also remember, Vilma has pummeled us all with delirious cuteness before as well. So the combination of Vilma’s dog and a cute dog sweater, well, it is too much to bear. It really is.

Ebola Virus Stamp

Be careful when you handle this Ebola Virus Stamp. According to Wikipedia, “interior bleeding is caused by a chemical reaction between the virus and the platelets which creates a chemical that will cut cell sized holes into the capillary walls. After 5-7 days the person will die of ‘a million cuts.’” This would look beautiful on birth announcements and wedding invitations. Via Craft.

Popogirl Australian Shepherd Pin

The Daily Puppy has recently been featuring Australian Shepherds like they’re going out of style. (One two three four five six in only three weeks, about a quarter of all the dogs on the site!) So when I saw this Australian Shepherd Pin from Popogirl, I squealed a little. They’re so cute!

Julie Moon

Despite having a relatively decent job and a probable future working for The Man, these ceramics by Toronto artist Julie Moon make me want to fight the power. And she’s inspired by Aubrey Beardsley and Alligator Pie!

Oh yeah. I’ve always been into popular culture from the 60′s and early 70′s; music, fashion, graphics and illustration. I was really inspired by art nouveau artists such as Alphonse Mucha and [[Aubrey Beardsley]] as well as a number of illustrators and textile manufacturers like Peter Max, Emilio Pucci, Marimekko. I grew up a huge fan of George Dunning’s “Yellow Submarine” and Frank Newfield’s illustrations from Dennis Lee’s children’s book, “[[Alligator Pie]]” and the early [[Sesame Street]] episodes and skits STILL blow my mind!

I officially love this woman.

Cooking Mama apron

I have to admit that I don’t like playing Cooking Mama. It requires you to do these really accurate moves, some of which I just can’t do with a wiimote. But I love the visuals in the game and I love this Cooking Mama apron! I wish I had one, or at least the skills to make one myself. Maybe then I would have the wrist agility to turn up the heat on a pot of soya beans. Just look at this felt detail!
