My gosh, is it a blog??

I started planning a trip to the States a little while ago and suddenly it’s the end of June and I haven’t blogged for a month and a half. Well, now I’m back. Sort of. I’ve been knitting, that’s for sure, but I’ve been working more than I’ve been knitting. Which is a good thing, because I’m suddenly looking at quite a few papers that need just a little more polishing and they’ll be done. Those are the UFOs I’m working on now; by the end of this year, I’m hoping to have published at least 5!

But you didn’t come here for yet another tirade about how my PhD is killing my blog. You came here to look at pretty pictures! So here are some (click on the photos for links):

Shabby Apple, Madison Ave Shabby Apple, Lincoln Center Shabby Apple, Midtown

Shabby Apple, Anchors Aweigh Shabby Apple, Rosie the Riveter

Shabby Apple sells dresses that cover up what so many dresses don’t. They’re uber-sexy while also being modest, and they don’t bare your hot pocket when you step out of a car. I’m thinking about buying the black and white jobbie but it “fits generously,” which makes me wonder if I should buy a size smaller than the usual. The internet is hard! We should all have replicators that let you order a dress and then if it doesn’t fit, it replicates one that does. Wasn’t that in one of those My Teacher Is An Alien books? Gosh darn it, I LOVED those books. Geezum Crow.

I also found this little gem at Folding Trees:

Jolis Paons Paper Dress

Super.
