Not only is it beautiful to look at, but you can learn a lot about styling by looking at the various images for each set of jewelry. The various backgrounds used above highlight different aspects of the objects, and I love the effect of what looks like a lensbaby (or something similar, judging from the chromatic aberration). Absolutely gorgeous images.

This is called a Sliced Bread Notebook. It’s stylish, but not in the shape of bread. I am both amused and confused.

I started planning a trip to the States a little while ago and suddenly it’s the end of June and I haven’t blogged for a month and a half. Well, now I’m back. Sort of. I’ve been knitting, that’s for sure, but I’ve been working more than I’ve been knitting. Which is a good thing, because I’m suddenly looking at quite a few papers that need just a little more polishing and they’ll be done. Those are the UFOs I’m working on now; by the end of this year, I’m hoping to have published at least 5!

Check out this Crochet Lampshade! I am in awe.

I love this Big Box of ADHD. Usually when I see something that makes reference to ADHD, it is cheesy and doesn’t actually involve the disorder or operates on a misrepresentation of what it’s all about. But it seems like this person “gets it.” I think this is a brilliant idea! For each goal or type of project you have, there’s a little drawer, and for each hour you spend on that goal there is a button to put in that drawer.

I especially love the use of buttons, to translate time into something that is tangible. This is a very important tool for people with ADHD, because time is really distorted for them. (Hehe, them. Look at me pretending to be a normie.) Anyhoo, I am totally going to get myself a bunch of jars and mimic this with marbles. I still have my old marble collection so this will be a cinch! (Yes, I had a marble collection. I also had a rock collection, a coin collection, a stamp collection, and a bottle cap collection. Coincidentally, I blame the ADHD.)

I got three friend notifications from Flickr a while ago, and two of them were from people who live in Qatar. I wonder if they are friends, or if there is some sort of Qatar knitting club that has come across my pictures? Anyhoo, I thought it was cool. Here is one of the photos that I really liked. I used to make these bracelets all the time! I should start again, I have a feeling that with all these hair poufs and skinny jeans and legwarmers and Cindy Lauper haircuts becoming popular again, friendship bracelets are going to come back in style. I think I read something in the Globe and Mail to that effect a few months ago. They are selling our youth back to us now, folks!
