This necklace is really pretty, but there is one thing I don’t understand. If this Cecilia Necklace is made from an unfinished doily from her great grandmother, why are there 2 in stock?

I was at the Science Centre today! I kinneared you guys a picture of an Ogee arch, which looks quite like the top of Ogee lace. Hence the name, I assume. I say “kinneared,” but really I just held up my camera phone and talked loudly about how I was checking the time. “I wonder what time it is.”
“I am continuing to look at the time on my cellular phone.”
“Ah. That is the time on my cellular phone. I will put it away now, until I feel the need to check it again near that model ship.”

I am a little late on this one, but I’ve only now caught up with all my blog reading! Here is a great suggestion on how to retrofit your mitts! I’ll have to try this on my current mittens, as they are cold enough to freeze your Winnebago.

I got three friend notifications from Flickr a while ago, and two of them were from people who live in Qatar. I wonder if they are friends, or if there is some sort of Qatar knitting club that has come across my pictures? Anyhoo, I thought it was cool. Here is one of the photos that I really liked. I used to make these bracelets all the time! I should start again, I have a feeling that with all these hair poufs and skinny jeans and legwarmers and Cindy Lauper haircuts becoming popular again, friendship bracelets are going to come back in style. I think I read something in the Globe and Mail to that effect a few months ago. They are selling our youth back to us now, folks!

Remember all those stars I was talking about before? Well, here’s how to turn them into a Christmas Garland. I made mine out of dot matrix paper, but shredded junk mail could also work. So here’s an idea: take all your junk mail this Christmas and pick out the ones that have a similar colour overall for the bottom or top half of the page. Then stick them into your paper shredder one at a time, and you have around 20 coloured strips for your garland! (Obviously, this only works if you have a shredder that makes only long straight cuts, none of that confetti-ing business.)
